Vietnamese and Catholic Wedding at The St. Vrain

Kathleen and Dai-Long got married on Saturday, May 7th and had a split-venue wedding. Their ceremony was held at one of Denver’s most beautiful catholic churches: St. Catherine of Siena, and their reception was held at The St. Vrain in Longmont. Being Catholic and Vietnamese, Kathleen and Dai-Long incorporated special cultural aspects into their day, including the bride changing into a traditional ao-dai garment before being joined by the family and bridal party for a Vietnamese table greet. During the table greet, the couple went around to each table, where one spokes-person would speak a blessing and give advice, and then they would make the couple play a game in order to receive their gift. For dessert, they brought in a Boba Tea bar in addition to cupcakes from a local bakery. They made a video to introduce the bridal party into the reception. Each bridal party member made a short video retelling how they met the couple and the significance of their relationship. It made for a really sweet touch to the start of their reception! Kathleen and Dai-Long’s wedding was a fun and festive celebration of marriage!
