Why Planning a Brunch Wedding is the BEST Decision You’ll Make

(aside from choosing your fiance😉)

Brunch is the epitome of a social occasion - friends, food, and fizzy beverages. So, what if I told you that the perfect brunch could be one of the most special days of your life? Let me share the deets:

The Food -

When you think of your ideal meal, does a brunch menu often come to mind? Maybe it’s the extra crispy chicken and waffles that are the perfect marriage of savory and sweet (see what I did there), or your southern style B&Gs that takes you all the way down to Mississippi. Regardless if it’s hash browns or French Toast, your brunch wedding can offer all of your favorite foods that hit the spot and stick to the budget. Brunch foods are typically lower costs and will have guests feeling full and satisfied. Many couples are also concerned about providing for each guest’s unique dietary needs, but brunch foods offer the widest variety of types of food so everyone can find something they love instead of being stuck with a plain salad for dinner.

The Drinks -

Sip on this! Signature cocktails are the essence of ~trendy brunch vibes ~ and who can resist cocktails named “Mr. & Mrs. Mimosa” and “Bloody Marys.” Mimosas are the G.O.A.T. brunch drink that adds a splash of color, flavor and Vitamin C, while Bloody Marys appeal to your more spunky guests with its spicy taste.

By sticking to one or two specialty drinks, you can keep the price point reasonable and leave room for a coffee bar to ward off any early morning yawns.

The Time of Day -

The sun is shining, your hair and makeup are fresh, and overall you just feel more energized than at the end of the day. With a traditional wedding, you’ll spend 6-8 hours getting ready and doing other things before you even get to the ceremony, let alone the party! Morning is the perfect time of day to be outside, sip some refreshing drinks, and get your groove on and not have to worry about ending the night too late and feeling your lack of sleep (or the intake of beverages) the next day.

The Design

A brunch wedding can be bold napkins and bright florals. It can also be elegant linens and whimsical greenery. With your brunch wedding, you can take risks and customize your wedding to your style.

Instead of a champagne wall, add a “mimosa wall” for the sunrise colors and a picture perfect photo backdrop. Incorporate patterns such as polka dots, or textured fabrics to give dimension to your venue space even in the sunlight. Your food can also play a huge component in your design - vibrant dipping sauces or entrees can be visual focal points as well as delicious bites.

The Price Point

Venues typically cost more for evening hours or specifically on Saturday evenings. Brunch can be on any day of the week and the party will wrap up in the afternoon so you can have a quiet dinner with your new spouse, and leave room in the budget for a fun night out with the bridal party, or an extended honeymoon.
